Cost of health services in India (CHSI) Study

Cost of health services in India (CHSI) Study provides data from a national costing survey of 11 public tertiary, 30 district public and 40 private hospitals in 11 states. The costing survey was funded by the Department of Health Research and carried out by PGIMER, Chandigarh in collaboration with state level Multi-Disciplinary Research Units (MRUs). The states included are Jammu & Kashmir, New Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Tami Nadu. The database provides data on unit costs of outpatient visits, inpatient admissions, intensive care unit admissions, operation theatre, and health benefit packages at the level of public tertiary facilities as well as district hospitals. This data has also been segregated according to different specialties. The database will also be updated with costs at the level of private facilities as and when available.
